LTL (Less Than Truckload)

Tipax's LTL is a customized service offered to businesses for the door-to-door transportation of oversize or overweight cargo; in this service, the shipper basically secures a fixed portion of the available space in the transportation vehicle. The service was developed to supply the demand of those businesses with bulk sales, whose overall weight takes up more than 100 kgs (in space or mass). Thus, business owners can rent up a sizable portion of Tipax's delivery vehicles and ship their cargo; these vehicles come in various sizes (300, 600,900, 1200, and 1500 kgs). Tipax clients can prepare and surrender their goods to Tipax based on the delivery vehicles` predetermined delivery timetable.

Restrictions on the number, weight, and mass of each parcel:

  • Minimum weight per shipment: 1kg
  • Maximum weight per shipment: 1ton
  • Minimum proportions per carton: Tipax`s #1 carton
  • Maxixum proportions per carton: 220*220*220 cm
  • Minimum weight allowed per order: 100kg
  • Maximum weight allowed per order: 1500kg
  • Maximum of 10 items per order

Currently, our delivery vehicles cover five main routes daily; these include from Tehran to Mashhad, Tabriz, Ahvaz, Isfahan, and Shiraz. Tipax clients can request delivery or recovery of their cargo if their recovery point is located in one of these cities or any other place on the route.

Features of the LTL service

Time limits:

Orders must be submitted at most 24 hours before the carrier sets out on its course. The cargo will be delivered within two days.

Storage conditions and types of deliverable goods:

Items requiring general transportation conditions such as specific temperature, etc., are permissible. Tipax does not offer its LTL services for items whose transportation requires special conditions, such as perishable foods and goods requiring freezer carriers.

Payment terms and conditions

The service offers only just payment methods: cash payment in advance or a business plan settlement; the latter is reserved for those companies who have a fixed number of orders per month, in this case, an individualized payment plan is drawn out, and the client can pay the service costs on fixed dates.

Insurance and damage compensation

The compensation rate is calculated and paid based on the following formula:

estimated cargo value x 0.003 = compensation cost
